This module is designed to help medical affairs professionals and others in the pharmaceutical industry evaluate statistical data presented in medical literature. It will help users apply statistical concepts when evaluating literature, identify strengths and weaknesses in study design, and detect potential bias in the presentation of statistics.

It is not the goal of this module to train you as a statistician. Instead, this module is designed to help you develop a solid understanding of key statistical concepts used in the evaluation of medical literature. By the end of the module, you should feel more confident in “speaking the language” of statistics and in discussing questions or concerns with your organization’s statisticians.
